I've come to the decision that I'm going to get my degree in English-American Lit. I have fought myself on this for a long time. I'm very critical of myself, so I thought I couldn't do it, but after five weeks of class, I'm fairly certain I can accomplish my goal. The one thing I dread is taking linguistics! :( I have little to no prior knowledge of analyzing the English language like that (except in History of the English Language), so I know I'm going to need to work extra hard in that class. I know that it will all be worth it in the end. I love literature so very much!
I also got a new vehicle this past Wednesday! Like many things that happen in my life, it happened unexpectedly and all in one day. I was randomly searching for Jeeps online when I came across one that I liked and was within my price range. I called the dealer, and he told me he would work with trading in my old Jeep if I came that evening. When I drove down there, they didn't have the Jeep that I saw online, but they did have a better, cheaper one! So, long story short, I fell in love and drove it home that evening! I feel so much better now that I have my own transportation. I just miss going to Lincoln County and seeing my granny (and driving around Richmond).
Back to work on this foggy, wet, Kentucky day.
