Back to the Future

I've been watching old movies lately: Giant and Gone With the Wind.

Giant makes me sad. Every time I watch it I wish James Dean had lived so we could have had more fantastic movies from him. I also think about Rock Hudson and how hard life must have been for him back then (since he was forced to stay in the closet).

Gone With the Wind freaks me out b/c it was made in the 30s and my grandma went to see it in the theater when it came out! Maybe it freaks me out so much b/c I feel like I can relate to it for some reason? Like I could live in the 30s or Civil War time and get along just fine. I don't know why. I've always felt like I was born in the wrong time period. But I can't change that so I'm just going to continue living life in the 21st century, where life is easy to live with cars, computers, tv, cell-phones, electricity, etc.

I've also been reading:

Nickle and Dimed (On Not Getting By in America)-Barbara Ehrenreich (finished)
Space-Jesse Lee Kercheval (reading)
The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing (Vol. II)-MT Anderson
The Moonstone-Wilkie Collins

I <3 summer reading!!!

Also contemplating on getting an I-Mac. I need a computer so badly. Adios.
