Note to self:

If you ever start absolutely hating Grad school, please drop out. Or at least find something else you enjoy learning about.

One of my professors said it perfectly: "If you hate Grad school, there's no point in being here. You should only be here if you love what you're doing."

As of right now, I love English!!! I'm thinking about getting a minor in Appalachian Studies. Later will come the Library Science.

I'm so looking forward to Fall Break and getting paid for it! I'll finally get to spend some quality time with my granny and catch up on all the reading and writing I need to do. Not to mention BAKING for Aaron's birthday! :) I'm making him a carrot cake and trying out my first pumpkin pie.

I hate grad school. But I'm not dropping out. I just hate that I've been in school for so long. I enjoy my chosen profession though; I just trek through grad school and put in my time now so I can do what I love doing later. I like a lot of my classes but there are others that I've had to take to fulfill a university requirement to get my degree that I absolutely despise and that makes the process painful because you have to live by their rules instead of only taking the classes you enjoy and making the whole grad school process a pleasure.

I think a lot of people hate grad school (and undergraduate for that matter) but have to do it for their profession that they do enjoy. I envy you if you make it through grad school without hating at least one of your classes or the higher education process as a whole.

... sorry about the long-winded comment. I just blogged about hating school though so it's been on my brain today. :)
